Sony Pictures After Earth: Moving Posters for Moving Pictures

While at IPG Media Lab, Brian created the framework for an emerging experience for the motion picture industry. An interactive movie poster that utilized NFC-enabled mobile devices, sweepstakes, offers, social media, gaming mechanics, and data aggregation.

Users gain rewards big and small – from free popcorn to a celebrity red carpet event. The movie poster draws users in to engage as they approach the screen. Brian’s goal was to mask the interaction between the phone and the poster, to transcend NFC and make something that feels like magic.
