Patent # 10977683 issued on April 13, 2021. Filed in 2016 shortly after being acquired by IBM, Brian’s first IBM patent application as a lead inventor for the world’s first IBM Watson cognitive ad. Incubating a product that would change the entire advertising organization's course at The Weather Channel and IBM.
Co-inventors: Robert Redmond, William Spann, Donna Bryon, Carmine Dimascio, Florian Pinel, Ed Seabolt, Domenic Venuto.
2020-2021 Awards for Advertising Accelerator with Watson
Built for display and video, IBM Watson Advertising Accelerator takes a new approach to engaging and converting consumers. Using curated sets of creative elements, Accelerator’s AI continuously defines audience segments, predicting and assembling optimal creative ad variations for each.

Since launching at CES last year, Brian’s team has won over a dozen industry awards for IBM Watson Advertising Accelerator. He is honored to now receive an Outstanding Technical Achievement Award from IBM.
Generating meaningful results is the mission, and utilizing AI to assemble beautifully crafted ads based on audience performance does just that. Like helping the Ad Council with educating Americans on the benefits of COVID-19 vaccines. One of the largest public education efforts in US history.
